Another Great Layout

Hello stamping friends!  Felt a little rough this morning but still went about my daily routine.  One of the regular things I do is wander around Pinterest for a while during breakfast time.  Sometimes a color will catch my eye, sometimes it's a layout.  You never know what will appeal to you that you might have overlooked on a different day.  Well, I saw a similar layout used a good number of times with different colors, stamps, and even dimensions.  But they were all similar and that got me thinking.  Which turned into stamping, you know?  I had to make it my way and see how I liked it.  It turned out to be a great layout and I'm happy to share my dimensions with you for the cards I made.  Ready to give it a try?

This is what I came up with first.  I had lots of smallish strips cut off from other projects I've made previously using the Brushed with Beauty Designer Series Paper.  It seemed to be a great project to use some of these.  The strips were all about 1" wide, so I picked two prints that I liked together and cut them down to 5 1/4" long.  I had enough strips to make two cards, so I had fun making them similar but just a bit different.

The card base is Very Vanilla to coordinate with the DSP.  It measures 8 1/2" x 5 1/2".  It was scored at 4 1/4".  Then 1" was cut from the front flap to make an off-set opening.  The striped piece of DSP was layered inside the card on the back flap leaving a small border on 3 sides.

The floral print was layered onto the front flap lining it up with the back strip of DSP.

Next, a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock was cut at 2" x 5 1/4".  This was embossed with the Lovely Stripes Embossing Folder so that the stripes would mimic the stripes in the Designer Paper.  After embossing, this was attached to the card front with "green glue".

The sentiment and die-cut label are both from the Unbounded Love stamp and die bundle.  After cutting the label from Very Vanilla cardstock, the sentiment was stamped with Calypso Coral ink.

A piece of Crumb Cake cardstock was cut to 2 1/2" x 1 3/4".  The square corners bothered me, so my trusty, very old Corner Rounder punch was used.  I'm so glad I've hung on to this for a good number of years.  Every once in a while, it is just the perfect tool to have.  The two layers are attached with adhesive.  Then it is layered onto the card front using Dimensionals just where it's attached to the front flap of the card only.

The inside sentiment is from the new Framed All Around stamp set.  This is an Online Exclusive set, so you won't find it in any catalog.  Calypso Coral ink was used for stamping this.  The set has the 2-line corner stamp that I thought I'd try out in the corner.  It's stamped with Crumb Cake ink.  It doesn't really add anything to the design.  Thought I'd like it better. I'll have to work on using that stamp later.

Going back to the front of the card, a bow made with the new Crisp Cantaloupe Bordered Ribbon was made.  Then it was attached to the corner of the label with Mini Glue Dots.  For the added bling on this card, I used three of the Opal Rounds that were in my embellishment stash.  I thought they looked nice on this card.

Keep reading for the 2nd card made with most of the same ingredients.

As you can see, the basic card was put together the same as the first up to the point of orientation.  

The label and sentiments are also from the Unbounded Love set, just different stamps used this time.  The sentiment was stamped in both Calypso Coral and Crumb Cake inks.  The Crumb Cake layer behind this was made the same as previously.  

When it was attached to the card front, I used adhesive and kept it flat to the card.

The sentiment inside the card is from the new Framed All Around set again.  It's stamped with Calypso Coral ink to match.

The Crisp Cantaloupe Ribbon was used again to add a bow to the design.

This time several of the Opaque Faceted Gems in the coral color were added to the front for a little bling.

Need one more look at these two cards?  Sometimes layouts seem to just work better in either landscape or portrait style.  This layout seems to work nicely either way.  Do you have a favorite?

Ok peoples, that's my two-for-one card layout for you to try.  I'm very happy with the outcome and will certainly use this layout again.  I'm just not sure what DSP I'll be using next.  I've probably got at least a dozen print combos that would make up into beautiful cards.  I'll have to start going through my stash with this layout in mind.

Product of the Month Plus Extras

Hello friends!  Coming to you from a very damp and chilly South Carolina today.  A gray and rainy 48 degrees feels way colder than it really is.  A good day to stay inside and get another post done.  Right?  Maybe that's why I've been making cards lately that have a lot of blue and gray going on.  Must be something to do with the weather!  I've been trying to figure out how I wanted to present these card ideas in a coherent fashion and here goes.  Instead of breaking this down into several different posts, I've got a main card idea plus 2 extras.  Hope this all makes sense to you as it unfolds.  The main focus on today's post is using the Product of the Month from last December.  I just checked and it's still available at this time.  You need to purchase $75 worth of merchandise to be eligible to buy the True Blue Designer Series Paper Product of the Month which is available only while supplies last.  That means it's not too late to get one of these DSP packs for $5!  Since it is still available, I thought I'd share a couple of card designs I made using this lovely paper.

This is the first card I made with the True Blue DSP.  I love the prints on this piece, so I was looking for a layout that features both sides of the DSP.  This card does it so well.  Since the DSP has a combo of Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, and Basic White, I chose Night of Navy for the card base.  It measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/4" and it's scored at 4 1/4" which gives you a front flap that's only 1" wide.

Next, a piece of the True Blue DSP was cut that measures 5 1/2" x a scant 4 1/4" so it fits inside the folded flap.  Put adhesive inside the flap but not quite to the score line then attach the DSP to this.  Make sure you line up the outer edge with the back of the card so they're even.

I wrapped a Frayed Edge White Ribbon around this and tied into a loose-ish knot.  I really like how the white ribbon stands out against the navy and enhances the design.

The Basic White label on the front of the card was die-cut with the smaller label in the Peace on Earth die set.  I thought the shape and size worked well here.

The sentiment comes from the Hope You Know stamp set.  It's stamped with Night of Navy ink right near the top.  

Both the larger and smaller greenery dies used here are from the Charming Day dies.  They blend in with the print on the DSP but aren't quite the same.  They are cut from Night of Navy cardstock and Balmy Blue cardstock to match the card.  After cutting, they are attached to the label.  The navy one is flat with just adhesive.  The Balmy Blue one has adhesive on the bottom of the stem area and has Mini Dimensionals under the 3 top leaves to hold in place.

The label was then attached to the card front using Dimensionals.

For a little added bling, three Iridescent Pearls were added to the design.

With this fun fold design, I mentioned you can see both sides of the paper.  This is the inside of the card.  Yes, the ribbon goes right around the layers and ties in front.  This way you can enjoy it both inside and out.

The inside layer is Basic White that is cut at 5 1/4" x 4".  The sentiment is from the Comforting Thoughts set and is stamped in Night of Navy ink.

The little branch in the bottom corner is from the Charming Day set and is stamped in Balmy Blue ink.  Isn't it a nice touch?

Ok, this is the first card I'm sharing.  Next is a card using the same layout but using different colors and DSP.

Here you can see them together.  The upper card uses Cloud Cover for a card base and a print from the Peaceful Garden DSP.

I don't remember what cut the white label.  It was just in my stash of left-over die-cut pieces.  It fit the card, so I used it.  The sentiment on this one is from the Friendly Foliage stamp set.  It's stamped with Secret Sea ink.  

I'm not sure where the die for the Cloud Cover branch is from, but the Secret Sea leaf is from the Charming Day dies.

The ribbon is a sheer Secret Sea ribbon that is currently available.  The touch of bling on the card is from the Iridescent Pearls just like the other card.  The inside is the same except for the ink colors used.

This last card reverts back to the True Blue DSP.  The card base is Balmy Blue that measures 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded in half.

The Night of Navy layer measures 4 3/4" x 3 1/2".  The three DSP prints measure as follows:

2 1/4" x 3",  7/8" x 3",  and 1 3/8" x 3 1/4"

These three prints were attached to the navy layer with adhesive.  As you can see, it was a little off and I should have used "green glue" to have that extra wiggle time to get it where I wanted it.

After glueing these pieces on the navy layer, I wrapped a Balmy Blue/white ribbon around this and tied it into a knot in the center.  

A Basic White circle die-cut and stamps from the Unbounded Love set was used to stamp the sentiment with Night of Navy ink.  This was attached right at the knot in the ribbon with Dimensionals.

For bling on this card, I used the white dots from the Moody Palette Glossy Dots that will be a new Online Exclusive item on January 6th.

More Sunflowers!

Hello my friends!  Hope this finds you all doing well and having fun creating.  I wasn't ready to put away my Sunflowers 3D Embossing Folder just yet.  It's been fun creating with this embossing folder and the ideas keep popping.  Some of the cards have already made it into the mail to cheer someone or let them know they are thought of often.  But I have a few still sitting here that I thought it would be fun to share.

Today's cards are featuring the "embossed" or raised side of the paper that is used after embossing.  Aren't these pretty with the varying tones of color in the design?  I just love them!

All that gorgeous color is all from this one piece of Meandering Meadow 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper.  Amazing, right?

To make these cards, the first step is finding a DSP design that you love.  Find one with multiple colors in a random pattern.  This one has a nice mix of purples, plummy/pink, orange and vanilla.  It gives me so much leeway in how to play with it.

Since the Sunflowers 3D Embossing Folder is so large, I was able to emboss the entire 6" x 6" piece at once.

The first step would be running the edge of a Gorgeous Grape ink pad very lightly across the embossed design.  This was kept very light!  I didn't want an excess of purple overpowering the lovely colors.

Since I knew I only wanted to use 5" of the piece, 1" was cut from the bottom edge.  Of course this was saved for future reference.  I just wasn't sure where or how it would be used yet.  That would come later.

Next came ripping the DSP into useable pieces.  Figuring out where the 4" mark would be from the left side, I ripped along the length of the piece just a little short of 4" wide.  I want to mention that ripping this embossed piece was very different from ripping cardstock or plain paper.  The ripping wanted to follow the embossing in areas, so I had to be careful and rip slowly to stay in control of the rip.  Since this piece was just under 4" wide, that left another piece about 2 - 2 1/4" wide for another card design.

When embossing the DSP, I found the paper becomes rather fragile.  First thing for this piece was to adhere it to a piece of Basic White measuring 5 1/4" x 4".  Tombow Liquid Glue (green glue) was used for this job.

The layers were attached to a folded Gorgeous Grape card base that measured 11" x 4 1/4" and scored at 5 1/2".  I used "green glue" to attach.

The sentiment was chosen from the Thankful Garden stamp set.  Dies from the coordinating set were used to cut one Basic White oval and three Gorgeous Grape ovals.  The center of the white oval is stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink.  The three outer oval frames were layered one on top of the other to create a dimensional frame for the sentiment.

Before attaching the sentiment, I wanted to add a ribbon embellishment to the design.  After trying both purple and Petunia Pop ribbons, I thought they looked too heavy for the design and decided to use this old standby sheer white ribbon with a silver edge.  It's just looped on the card front and attached with a small bit of Tear & Tape which would be covered by the sentiment.  Next the sentiment was layered over the ribbon.

The inside of the card has a layer of Basic White cardstock that is 5 1/4" x 4".  The sentiment from the Thankful Garden stamp set is stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink.

That 1" strip of embossed DSP that was cut from the bottom edge at the very beginning was trimmed on each end to measure 4".  Pieces were cut off each side to get the optimum design to add to the card.  "Green glue" was used to attach to the Basic White layer and then attach inside the card.

Three of the Gorgeous Grape Glossy Dots were used to enhance the card design.  Yes, I think they're retired, but they really worked the best of all my embellishments.

Now on to the second half piece of that embossed DSP we made.

The plan for this card started with the idea of adding the DSP to a layer of Gorgeous Grape cardstock to compliment the DSP.  The purple cardstock was too plain by itself.  I embossed the left side of the cardstock with the Glass & Garden Embossing Folder.  The geometric design seemed to be a good contrast to the bold Sunflower embossed design.  

"Green glue" was used to attach the DSP to the right side of the cardstock.  Then used again to attach the layers to a Petunia Pop card base.  Sorry the picture doesn't show the Petunia Pop cardstock in all its glory.  It just didn't want to play nice.

The sentiment this time is from the Unbounded Love stamp set.  It is stamped onto a label die-cut from Basic White cardstock using one of the Unbounded Love dies.  Gorgeous Grape ink was used for this.  

To make the sentiment label stand out, a 1" strip of Petunia Pop cardstock was cut about 3 3/4" long and then one end was trimmed with Paper Snips to flag it.  This was attached from right to left about 3/4 of the way down the card.

The sentiment still needed a little more definition.  Two different open-work leaf dies from the Unbounded Love set cut some leaves from Gorgeous Grape cardstock.  There was a sprig already cut from Highland Heather cardstock using one of the Painted Lavender dies sitting on my table.  This seemed to be just what the card needed.  The small die-cuts were all attached with "green glue" and the sentiment label was attached over them using Dimensionals.

Three of the Purple Fine Simmer Gems were added for a pretty touch of bling.

Since I had none of the left-over embossed DSP left, I added some strips of Gorgeous Grape cardstock to embellish the inside of the card.

I hope you enjoyed this look at the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder used with some pretty DSP.  Just keep playing around with your ideas and have fun.  With each little tweak you make whether to the DSP print or cardstock colors or ink color, you can come up with something new and unique to you.

Using a Basic Template

Hello friends.  Today I've got a whole pile of cards to share with you.  It all started with a Basic Template using a piece of 6" x 6" DSP to cut all the main pieces.  My template I used is very basic and can be cut either way, depending on the direction of the print and what you want to do with it.  First, I want to show you a picture of the 5 cards that are made from one 6" x 6" piece.  Then we'll get into the cutting and details to make these cards.

The DSP that was used for these cards is maybe my favorite print in the Floral Charm DSP pack that is part of the Charming Day collection.  The roses are a pretty soft color with Night of Navy and Pretty Peacock leaves.  It's just yummy.   Of course, when I create with the other prints in the set, I fall in love with the other designs too.  Guess this DSP pack is definitely my favorite at this point!

Anyway, can you see how just a small amount of this print can go a long way?  It's so pretty even when you've only got a 1 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece!

Let's get to the Basic Template that I used.

Sorry, this isn't all fancy like other people can make it.  When I'm working out a design, I just make a sketch and add dimensions for it.  That's it.  But you can see exactly what you need and how to cut.  Want to give it a try?

The first card up is using the top left piece of the Basic Template.  This measures 3" x 3 1/2".  I decided to use Fresh Freesia for the card base even though that's not one of the colors that are recommended for this.  I just liked how it looked, so that was my choice.  

The DSP is framed with a piece of Night of Navy cardstock that measures 3 1/4" x 3 3/4".  It's attached to the base with Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Charming Day set and is stamped onto a Basic White circle using Night of Navy ink.  It is die-cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies.  It's backed with the next largest circle cut from Night of Navy cardstock.  The circles are attached together with adhesive.  Then they are added to the card with adhesive where they overlap the DSP and Dimensionals on the right side to keep it flat.

A sheer white ribbon with silver edges was cut in half and then both pieces were tied into a pretty bow.  A trio of Purple Fine Shimmer Gems in the plummy color were added to finish the design.

Next up is one of the two left side pieces of the Template that measure 1 1/2" x 3 1/2".  This time the card base is Bubble Bath.

A 2 1/4" x 4 1/4" piece of Berry Burst was cut for an accent.  About 1/2" was ripped from the right edge.  Then it was embossed with the Distressed Tile Embossing Folder to give it extra interest.  This was attached about 1/2" up from the bottom of the card using Tombow Liquid Glue (green glue).

Next a piece of Night of Navy was cut to frame the DSP.  This measures 1 3/4" x 3 3/4".  They are attached together with adhesive.  Then they're attached flat to the card base right over the Berry Burst layer.  I used "green glue" again for this layer.

The sentiment for this card is from the Unbounded Love set.  It's stamped with Night of Navy ink onto a circle cut from the smallest circle die in the Stylish Shapes Dies.  It's backed with the next largest circle from the same die set.  This is attached over the corner of the DSP using both adhesive and Dimensionals so it lays flat on the card.  

I happened to have a small open leaf die-cut leftover from a precious project that was in Shaded Spruce.  This was tucked in slightly under the Berry Burst layer for some added interest.

There are three gems from the 2021-2023 In Color Dots that are added to the card.  They were originally supposed to match with Moody Mauve, but I loved the look on this card.

This card uses the 2nd small piece of DSP from the left side of the template.  I'll confess, I had quite a time making this card and I'm not sure I got it right.  If anyone has any suggestions, I'm open to hearing them!

This card started with a lovely die-cut from the Charming Day set.  It's cut in Berry Burst so I thought it would go with this idea.  

The card has a base of Pretty Peacock cardstock.  The DSP has a layer of Night of Navy framing it that measures 3 3/3" x 1 3/4".  It's attached near the bottom of the card front using Dimensionals.

The berry die-cut has some Mini Dimensionals under some of the wider areas to give it lift.  Then part of one of the flowers is tucked under the DSP and some leaves are brought forward on the design.

The sentiment used here is from the Perfectly Pears stamp set.  The die used to cut the label is from the same set.  It's stamped with Night of Navy ink.  There are Mini Dimensionals behind this to elevate it to match the rest.

Three of the Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive-backed Dots are added to the design to finish it.

The fourth design features the piece of DSP from the top right of the Basic Template.  This piece measures 2 1/2" x 4".  The layering piece is Night of Navy cardstock that measures 2 5/8" x 4 1/8".  The pieces are attached with adhesive. 

The card base for this design is Bubble Bath cardstock.  The two layers are attached to this with Dimensionals.

There is a die-cut of Pretty Peacock leaves added to the bottom left corner.  It's attached with dots of "green glue" on some of the leaves to hold in place.   

There is an open rose die in the same set that was used to cut this Berry Burst rose.  It's attached over the leaves with several Mini Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Perfectly Pears stamp set.  It's stamped onto a small label that's cut from the same set.  After stamping, it's attached flat to the card front with adhesive.

There are three of the Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive-backed Dots added as a pretty accent.

This one might be my favorite card of the batch.  At least for now!

This is the last card of the batch.  It uses the DSP piece from the bottom right-hand corner.

The card base is Bubble Bath again.  There is a layer of Berry Burst that measures 5 1/4" x 4".    To add some interest to the layer, I used the Glass & Garden Embossing Folder for texture.  I like how subtle this is, but it does make a difference.

The sentiment is from the Sweet Blooms stamp set.  It's stamped with Night of Navy ink onto a 1 1/4" x 3" strip of Basic White cardstock.  It's framed with a layer of Night of Navy cardstock.

The DSP piece is layered with Night of Navy cardstock.  This piece and the sentiment label are positioned on the card front.  Both pieces are attached with Dimensionals.

There is another leafy sprig from the Charming Day set added here.  It's die-cut from Pretty Peacock cardstock.  It bridges the two pieces and is attached with adhesive under just a few leaves.

The last bits on the card are the Rhinestone Basic Jewels in clear.  I thought they were all that was needed.

Ok, you've now seen all five cards that were made from one 6" x 6" piece of the Floral Charm DSP.  It was challenging to stick with those five pieces and come up with cards I liked.  I found it quite fun to do, so I made another batch of cards using a different DSP.  I'm going to share the cards, but I won't be giving you the rundown of all the materials because I didn't write them down.  It would probably take me another couple of hours to figure that out, so you'll need to just use the cards as ideas to get your ideas flowing.  Let me know what you think of the Basic Template I made and the cards that came out of it.  I'd love to hear what you think.

Pretty Florals in Purple

Hello people!  Back again today with another couple of cards featuring the Pretty Florals stamp and die bundle.  Yes, I think it's a great set and I've got so many ideas for creating with this set.  I've got a card to share that I made, then there's also the one my sister made.  We try to start with the same stamp set and main color and go from there.  You never know where the stamping muse will take us!

The idea for my card started with the die-cut circle of Basic White.  This was cut with the Stylish Shapes largest circle die.  

The triple stem of leaves was stamped using Garden Green ink.  The more solid flower stamp was inked with Highland Heather ink and then off-stamped before stamping each one of the flowers.  

Next the detailed stamp that goes over this was inked with Gorgeous Grape ink to really show up nicely on the card.   When I was stamping these on the card, the middle flower didn't totally fit on the circle.  So, I stamped another flower just like the other flowers but instead stamped on a scrap of Basic White cardstock.  After stamping, it was die-cut with the coordinating die.  I love it when there are matching dies to stamp sets.  It makes it so easy to have a dimensional card without a lot of fussy cutting.  Yeah, I guess that makes me kind of spoiled!

That extra flower cluster was attached over the partial one I'd already stamped.  It's popped up with Dimensionals and pokes out above the perimeter of the circle.

I was planning on using a full layer on the front of the card of the Gorgeous Grape cardstock, but it just didn't thrill me.  So a smaller piece of Gorgeous Grape was cut to go under the circle instead.  This piece measures 3 1/4" x 4".

Connie suggested using a layer of Silver Foil next, so I got that out.  There was a layer of silver already cut with the Scalloped Contours Dies.  Yes, they're retired, but they still look nice, and I dig them out every once in a while.  The die-cut didn't totally fit around the purple layer, but the two ends were just the right size to frame the top and bottom.  These layers are attached with adhesive.  Then it was all attached to a Highland Heather folded card base.

I needed a sentiment that would fit right under the circle but not be too big.  This sentiment from the Unbounded Love set is one I've used often.  It looked just perfect here.  It's stamped on a 1/2" strip of Basic White using Gorgeous Grape ink.  The sides were trimmed to make the length 2 3/8".

There was a 1/8" skinny strip of Highland Heather cardstock sitting on my table.  It looked nice under the sentiment.  So, it's attached with adhesive then trimmed to about 1/4" on either side.  This is attached to the card front using Dimensionals to pop it up.

The last touch to finish the card was the added bling, of course.  For this card, I thought the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems in the lightest color looked nice.  

There you have my monochromatic card all done in purples.  Connie also used purple, but her card is certainly different than mine.  Let's see what she did.

She made a landscape style card with a whole garden of flowers.  I don't have her card here in front of me, so I can't give accurate dimensions for you.  But I will give you all the information that I can.

The stems and leaves are stamped with Granny Apple Green.  The flowers are stamped the same way I did mine with the off-stamped Highland Heather first and then Gorgeous Grape over this for the detail stamp.  Her flowers are all die-cut.  Some are added flat to the card with adhesive, and others are popped up with Dimensionals to add variety.

The striped DSP behind is from the Sale-a-bration toadstool paper.  Sorry I don't remember the name off hand.  The card base is Gorgeous Grape.  I'm also not sure which set the sentiment comes from, but anything similar in size would work.  And from the picture, I'm not sure about the gems.  They might be the same that I used on my card.  Sorry I can't give you better directions on her cards.  All I'm going by at this point is a small picture.  I just didn't write down all the directions, so I'm just guessing on some parts of it.  I'm sure it will give you a good enough idea of possibilities to get you started.

The new 2025-2026 Annual Catalog went live today.  So that means you can order what you need.  One little problem though.  There was a snafu with the new Cloud Cover ink pad.  The ink has reacted to the foam on the pad and the color isn't up to the Stampin'Up! standard.  You can still buy the marker and the refill.  If you get the refill, you can ink an empty "spot" with the refill, and it will work just fine.  We are so sorry for the inconvenience and Stampin'Up! is working hard to rectify the problem with the ink.

Florals in Bloom Card Set

 Hello my friends!  I feel just a little bit scattered lately.  Maybe it's knowing my birthday is right around the corner and that means another year to tack onto that growing number.  Good grief, how did I ever get this old?  I keep thinking I'm younger, but my body keeps telling me "Hey, you're really old!"  But I know some really cool gifts will be coming my way, so I guess I can deal with another birthday.  I've already received some absolutely lovely cards that I'll need to share with all of you soon.  Thank you, ladies, for sharing your creativity and sending them to me!

Ok, on to the creating and sharing on this end.  Today's set of cards are focusing on the Florals in Bloom Designer Series Paper and one basic layout.  Having them all sitting on my table together reminds me of a vase of spring flowers or even a basket of Easter eggs.  I love all these bright (but not too bright!) colors.  They just make me happy, so I'm extra happy to share them with you too.

Here's number one which I think might be my favorite of the bunch.  The basic dimensions for each one of the cards are the same so I'll share just once here:

Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Extra Side Piece - 7/8" x 5 1/4"

DSP - 3" x 5 1/4"

 

The card base is Coastal Cabana on this card.  I tried a good number of different cardstock colors, and they were all good. This print just lends itself to so many choices.  But I couldn't resist this combo.  The card base is scored and folded in half.  The extra piece is embossed to give it an extra pop of interest.  This time I used the Plaster Painting 3D Embossing Folder.  I wish you could feel and see the gorgeous texture this adds!

The DSP print was attached to the card base using "green glue".  It was centered on the right edge leaving a frame of the Coastal Cabana showing.

The embossed strip was attached to the left edge with "green glue".  This leaves a frame of the card base showing evenly around the two pieces.

The sentiment on this card is from the Thankful Garden stamp set.  It's stamped on a Basic White strip that measures about 7/8" x 3".  It stamped in Pretty Peacock ink.  There is a layer of Coastal Cabana under this that measures 1 1/8" x 3 1/4".  This is attached to the card front with Dimensionals.

A retired Pool Party ribbon was used to make a bow which was added to the side of the sentiment.  It's attached with Mini Glue Dots.  For bling, I used the greenish gems in the Tinsel Gems Three-pack.  I thought these blended in nicely.

Here is the 2nd card in the set.  This has a base of Petunia Pop cardstock.  The extra strip this time is embossed with one of the Basic Embossing Folders.  This gives it a more subtle texture than the first card.

The sentiment comes from the Unbounded Love set.  It seems to be a sentiment I use often.   It's sort of generic and can be appropriate for so many occasions.  So, I can leave the inside of the card blank until I'm ready to use it.  That makes it rather practical.

The sentiment is stamped with Petunia Pop ink on a 1/2" strip.  It's backed by a Petunia Pop layer that is 3/4" wide.  They were trimmed to fit the area I wanted to place the sentiment.

After attaching the sentiment layers together, I used a strip of Tear & Tape across the back.  This holds the 3/8" Petunia Pop ribbon that I folded back and forth on it.  I used about 10 1/2" of ribbon to do this. The ends of the label are left free of the ribbon.  This is where I placed the two Dimensionals to hold the sentiment on to the card.

The gems here are from the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems.  I used the rosiest of the gems and think they blend quite well with Petunia Pop of the card.

This next print also works nicely will several different colors.  For my card, I chose to use Summer Splash cardstock which is one of the In Colors.  I haven't used it too often, so thought it might need a little love here.  The DSP print is attached to the card front just like the other two.  The extra strip of cardstock is embossed with the Dashing Designs 3D Embossing Folder.  This is an Online Exclusive item if you're looking for it.

For this card, a Basic White label was cut using the Textured Notes Dies.  I love the detail that's around each of the rectangles.  It just adds so much interest to the finished project.  

The sentiment used here is from the You Are Remarkable stamp set.  This set has been getting quite a workout here lately!  It is stamped with the new Secret Sea ink pad which is one of the new 2025-2027 In Colors.  You're going to love this color!

There was a little space on the top of the label, so I stamped in a bee from the You Are Remarkable set using Summer Splash ink.  Then the label was attached to the card front with Dimensionals.

I wanted a small bow on the label but couldn't find a ribbon to use.  I ended up coloring approximately 13" of white Baker's Twine with a Peach Pie Blender Pen.  It does a good job of coloring, and it dries pretty quickly.  I folded the Baker's Twine in half and tied it in a bow.  The ends were trimmed to the size I wanted.  Then it's attached to the label with a Mini Glut Dot.

While trying to decide on the bling I wanted to use, I remembered the Tiny Bee Trinkets.  I rolled a Mini Glue Dot and attached the tiny bee right over the stamped one.  Then added another one on the side.  Perfect.

Now we've come to the last card from this set of cards.  For some reason, I had the most trouble with this print.  There were just too many options for me to choose!  I ended with the Peach Pie cardstock for it.  

The strip on the side was a leftover piece that was just a little too small to use on its own.  I wanted to try something a little different this time - stamping on it instead of using an embossing folder.  I stamped multiple sections of the daisy from You Are Remarkable to cover the piece using Peach Pie ink.  

I had planned on backing the strip and also the sentiment with Timid Tiger, a new In Color, but wasn't happy with the look.  Instead, I went with Granny Apple Green which is the color of some of the leaves in the DSP print.  

The sentiment is on a 1/2" strip of Basic White.  It's stamped with Garden Green ink so it's a little darker.  The sentiment comes from the Spring Corners stamp set.  It's trimmed and attached to the Granny Apple Green strip that's about 3/4" wide.  They're attached together with adhesive.  Then the label is attached using Dimensionals.

The bling for this card is from an old pack of iridescent sequins.  These are in the lime green color.  They seemed to blend better than anything else I tried.  I guess that's why I hang on to so many of my retired embellishments.  You never know when you'll have a need for just that one.

There you have it.  This is one way to use one pack of Designer Paper and one layout but end up with a lovely set of cards that are very different looking but still similar.

And wasn't I right?  They do look like a basket of Easter eggs just waiting to be hidden.

I just have to share.  My daughter just ran in after dropping boys off for baseball practice.  She did my nails so I'd feel pretty for my birthday.  Awww.  She's sweet, isn't she?  

She talked me into blue nails!!  Holey Cow!!  Guess I'm not too old to try new things.

Now I have to share the really funny part.  She was about halfway done putting them on me when we realized there is a design of snowflakes on each finger!!  Guess I need some glasses!  Isn't this just hilarious!  Wearing snowflakes in April!  Oh well, these will certainly take a bit of getting used to wearing.  Where are my pretty pink-y/peach-y nails?  I'll get back to normal in another two weeks, thank goodness.
